(And there is plenty of toilet paper too...)

So let's talk about mindset.ย Because your mindset is the only thing that will help you survive in chaos.

Because in chaos you are only one of two things:ย An assetย or a liability.ย Leaders are assets,ย liabilities are not.

Which one are you?

Because the reality isย there are no food shortagesย andย there are no toilet paper shortages.ย Hell, there's not even a disruption in supply lines.

Here's what the situation is:ย Grocery stores operate on the slimmest of margins, so they canโ€™t afford to have products sitting on shelves for months at a time.

So what youโ€™re seeing unfold in front of you isnโ€™t food shortages, or toilet paper shortages or even disruptions in the supply chain, itโ€™s people unnecessarily freaking out.

Thinking the sh*t has hit the fan, but it hasnโ€™t. Because more food is on the way.

The truck drivers (who have already been practicing โ€˜social distancingโ€™ to feed their families) are still out there on the road doing their jobs to keep store shelves full.ย And the people growing the food (who have already been practicing โ€˜social distancingโ€™ to feed their families) and making sure the food is loaded onto those trucks are still out in the fields doing their jobs to keep store shelves full of food.

So what youโ€™re seeing unfold in front of you in terms of how people act is people exposing their roles as an asset or a liability in times of media-fueled chaos.

You may not realize this, but the universe is a violent place.ย Sure,ย itโ€™s also incredible and amazing. And if youโ€™re paying attention it can be the guide to living your best life.

But itโ€™s also pretty violent. It always has been,ย and it always will be. And there are asteroid impact craters all over the Earth to prove it. And now viruses that have been frozen in time are being exposed by melting glaciers.

The likes of which humanity has never seen before, and those are the things you should be really concerned about.

So what to do?

The same things you should have already been doing to keep your immune system healthy and strong.

Things like:

  • Thoroughly washing your hands

  • Thoroughly cooking your food

  • Eating lots of fruits and vegetables to nourish your gut microbiome

  • Breathing in different environments to diversify your gut microbiome

  • Make sure your sleep is dialed inย to keep your stress down and your immune system strong

  • Make sure your nutrition is dialed inย to give your body the best chance to fight off invaders

  • Create a home or park bench workout you can do outside in the sun to help your body stimulate its own Vitamin D production

  • Don't touchย your face, mouth, nose, or door handlesย  when youโ€™re out in public

  • Don't cough or sneeze into your hands and then go touching things other people touch

  • Takeย your shoes off before you walk in and around your house to keep the bacteria from your shoes from invading your home

But thatโ€™s not allโ€ฆ

Now the recommendation is to practice โ€˜social distancingโ€™ for a while.ย Meaning no social gatherings and try to stay at least 6 feet away from everyone around you.

But that canโ€™t last forever, right?

No, it canโ€™t, and here's why:

Humans are designed to interact with each otherย and business would grind to a halt and you can rest assured the government won't let that happen.

And even though the media will try to scare you away from everyone, you donโ€™t have to be scared.ย And you don't have to stockpile bottled water, because in most developed countries the water from the tap is ok to drink.ย And you donโ€™t have to stockpile toilet paper,ย that is of course unless youโ€™re eating enough fiber or are scared sh*tless.

And one last thingโ€ฆ

Do yourself a favor andย throw your TV in the garbage.

This step alone will reduce the stress in your life by at least 80%

Because no matter whether itโ€™s next week,ย next month,ย or next year, the media isnโ€™t going to change.ย Itโ€™s going to be the same sh*t, different news story.ย With clickbait news titles designed to grab your attention and drive advertising revenue.

And whatโ€™s being dumped into your mind every day determines whether youโ€™re going to be an asset,ย or a liability. Because after all, it's garbage in, garbage out.

And it's all in your head.
